Sunway Lagoon and Lost World of Tambun Reopens Today

Sunway Lagoon (STP) and Lost World of Tambun (LWOT) are now open once again to the public, offering a multitude of interesting and entertaining programmes.

According to the Executive Director of STP, Calvin Ho, a few attractive programmes are lined up for both theme parks in conjunction with the holidays, Christmas and New Year celebrations.

“We’ll be launching the ‘Season’s Screaming’ in STP and ‘Pirate’s Revenge’ in LWOT. Visitors will surely enjoy new and exhilarating experiences through both programmes, especially those who come with families.

“Both theme parks were closed for over two months due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During that period, sanitisation works were done in detail in both premises.

“We always ensure that hygiene levels and visitors’ safety are guaranteed, including our staff who were trained to adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) set by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and additional ones by us.”

He told the media so after launching the Season’s Screaming programme at Sunway Lagoon today (December 19).

Calvin added that a cleanliness test is done every two hours to ensure that the quality of pool water is constantly hygienic. The same goes for game zones, where sanitisation will be performed after every playing session.

“Hopefully, the reopening of both theme parks will help towards the recovery of the national economy affected by the pandemic.

“We would like to convey our utmost appreciation to the federal government for giving leeway for the reopening of the tourism sector as announced by the Senior Minister (Security Cluster), Dato’ Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob yesterday,” he expressed.
