22 Out of 23 Missing Factory Workers Found

22 out of 23 missing non-citizen factory workers from Imperial Garments, an industrial company located at Jalan Tasek Avenue in Ipoh, have been found.

According to the Ipoh district police chief, A. Asmadi Abdul Aziz, the workers were found yesterday night and they were immediately moved to the COVID-19 treatment and quarantine centre (PKRC) at Sultan Azlan Shah Health Ministry Training Institute (ILKKM) in Tanjung Rambutan.

“Actually, these workers didn’t escape; they were just unreachable as they live in different addresses.

“They’ll be moved to the PKRC at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) in Selangor today,” he explained via a statement dated today (March 2).

“The last one is possibly living in another address too. Thus, tracking operations are ongoing,” A. Asmadi added.
