KRIS: Let’s be the change

Women’s health and hygiene have been some of the key concerns across the world over the years. In line with this statement, Rotary Club of Ipoh South (KRIS) is taking the initiative to organise a project in partnership with SK Guru Kalgidhar, Buntong to provide sanitary napkins to people in need through donations. The project intends to create public awareness that schools too can be a role model and be part of the community service in enhancing and strengthening the bridge between the local communities, especially those in the B40 and M40 categories. SK Guru Kalgidhar is mainly surrounded by poverty-stricken communities.

The project commenced on April 9 and was led by President Pathma Devi and Arun Manogaran, witnessed by Headmaster Mr. Christopher with Kamarul Ariff and four others.

Anyone who wants to place a donation in the form of sanitary pads to the school is also welcomed.

SK Guru Kalgidhar is located at No. 1, Jalan Guntong, 30100, Buntong, Ipoh, Perak.
