Period of Assessment Tax Payment Extended

Assessment tax payment for the first term which ended on February 28 will be extended till April 30.

According to Mayor Dato’ Rumaizi Baharin, property owners (pemilik pegangan) who have yet to pay the assessment tax bills for the first term of year 2021 are urged to settle the bills or else a notice (Notis E) will be issued.

“Owners with assessment tax arrears including those who fail to follow agreements of instalment payments are urged to settle the arrears as soon as possible.

“The council welcomes owners facing difficulties in arrear payment to visit the council as discussions in the form of negotiations are always available, offering instalment payments according to the capabilities of the owners,” he said in his speech during the April Full Board Meeting of the Ipoh City Council (MBI) at the MBI meeting hall today (April 27).

The deadline for the payment of assessment tax bills for the second term which falls on August 31 is extended for two months till October 31.
