Presentation of Daily Necessities Under the MBI Cares Programme

The Ipoh City Council (MBI) cares about the welfare and plight of the community in the pandemic. Hence, the Mayor of Ipoh, Dato’ Rumaizi Baharin @ Md Daud presented a contribution of 150 packs of daily necessities to six council members and five MBI representatives under the MBI Prihatin (MBI Cares) programme. It was held in front of its meeting hall today (June 14).

Present was City Secretary, Ahmad Munir Ishak.

The council members involved were M. S. Jayagopi (Zone 6), A. Ganesan (Zone 7), Mohd Rafaad Razali (Zone 10), Ho Wai Mun (Zone 11), Dr. Richard Ng (Zone 14) and Nurul Huda Ahmad Nator (Zone 9).

The packs of daily necessities will be distributed to the residents of the zones under the responsibility of each council member. 

The items are donated by MBI in collaboration with Bonanza Venture Holdings Sdn Bhd (BVH).

Among the items in the packs are rice, cooking oil, flour, canned sardine, noodles and toothpaste.

Last Monday (June 7), Rumaizi presented 100 packs of daily necessities contributed by MBI and BVH under the MBI Prihatin programme to six representatives from Kinta Heights Flats, Buntong Harmony Flats and Waller Court. 

MBI will stay committed in channelling aid from time to time to those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic as a way to ease their burden.
