MBI Prihatin – Ipoh Mayor Welcomes Cooperation with Corporate Companies

The MBI Prihatin (MBI Cares) Programme opens up opportunities for various companies to collectively help the communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Mayor of Ipoh, Dato’ Rumaizi Baharin @ Md Daud welcomes the involvement of corporate companies in the MBI Prihatin programme with the Ipoh City Council (MBI).

“Today, a total of 100 people received food aid under the collaboration between Pinji Botanic Sdn Bhd and the MBI Council Member for Zone 24. This joint effort not only supports the MBI Prihatin programme, it also helps more affected communities now.

“I hope that more corporate companies will step forward to collaborate with MBI. Hopefully our mission to help the multiracial community, especially during the Movement Control Order (MCO) will continue,” he said after handing out food aid at Eco Botani today (July 21).

Present were MBI Council Member for Zone 24 (Botani), Azmi Murad Mohamad Yusof, Group Administration Manager of Pinji Botanic Sdn Bhd, Lee Chalk Hian and Head of the Auxiliary Police Force, Sergeant Major Mohd Jaafar Mohd Sultan.

Mohd Hafiz, 34, from Kampung Sengat said the assistance he received had indeed lightened the burden of his daily expenses.

“I haven’t worked for two months due to the MCO. I am thankful to the parties who have helped us, and this also gives us the courage to persevere through this difficult time,” he said.
