1,116 Military Personnel Received Vaccination

A total of 1,116 military personnel in the state were vaccinated at the vaccination center (PPV) at the 2nd Battalion Royal Ranger Regiment, Camp Syed Putra in Tambun.

Commander of the 2nd Malaysian Infantry Brigade, Brid General Mohd. Azmurin Mat Khalib said the vaccination process was held from July 26 to July 28. Besides military personnel, some civilians were also involved.

According to him, a total of 55 military personnel from the Ranger battalion, Medical Corps and the Military Police were vaccinated. 

“Among the recipients were members of the 2nd Malaysian Infantry Brigade and those who could not cross state borders due to the movement restrictions.

“The vaccination programme went on smoothly and in compliance with the standard operating procedures (SOPs),” he said.

The brigade commander was satisfied with the vaccination process.

“This is in line with the Army Commander’s Order of the Day, which is the preservation of the wellbeing of the people. 

“It emphasises on the health and wellbeing of the members, as well as being able to contain the COVID-19 infection,” he said.
