MBI Contributes Food Aid to Residents of Taman Meru 2B

The welfare of residents in Taman Meru 2B which is placed under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) is always prioritised.

Today (August 12), the Ipoh City Council (MBI) distributed a total of 110 food baskets to the affected residents.

In addition, 240 bottles of mineral water, packs of instant noodles and biscuits were also distributed to the frontliners.

The contribution was presented by Ipoh Mayor, Dato’ Rumaizi Baharin @ Md Daud to Kinta APM Operations Officer, Captain (PA) Mohd Zaki Sueb at the Taman Meru Multipurpose Hall in the afternoon (August 12).

The contribution from MBI and Econsave is via the MBI Prihatin (MBI Cares) Programme.

Present were council member, Clr. Dato’ Azizul Kama Abd Aziz; Penghulu Mukim Kinta, Dr. Mohd Sani Kamaruddin and Econsave North Division 2 general manager, Chua Yong Chiang.

The donation is hoped to help ease the burden of the affected residents and is a token of appreciation from MBI to the frontline staff there.
