LWOT Reopens with Safety of Visitors as Top Priority

“Our family feels safe and happy to go on holiday at Lost World Of Tambun (LWOT). There is no doubt on the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) here,” expressed Rania Elmuzayen, 41, one of the foreign visitors who’s staying in Kuala Lumpur.

Rania Elmuzayen, hailing from Denmark, chose the LWOT water theme park for a holiday with the family due to the beautiful natural environment besides the various family-oriented activities available.

“This is the second time I visited Ipoh, especially LWOT. Before I made the decision to go on holiday here, my family’s safety was my priority, especially in the new norm.

“The SOPs implemented by LWOT are very strict and they always monitor the activities of visitors to ensure compliance. Thus, we felt comfortable and safe to unwind here,” she said. She is accompanied by her husband Ziad Elmuzayen, 48 and three children for a 3-day holiday in Ipoh.

Meanwhile, the General Manager of Lost World Of Tambun, Nurul Nuzairi Mohd Azahari explained that the reopening of LWOT today (October 18) gives new hope to revive the tourism sector which was impacted by the pandemic.

“The management LWOT always ensures adherence to the set SOPs by the National Security Council (MKN) to guarantee the safety of visitors.

“We want the visitors to the theme park to play and stay with confidence. All of our staff members have received two doses of the vaccine.

“We ensure all areas of the theme park are sanitised and we also double the disinfection activities more than what is set by the MKN,” he shared with Ipoh Echo.

According to Nurul Nuzairi, LWOT, with its 44 acres of open areas, is ideal for visitors to unwind safely. Thus, various promotions are offered such as LWOT Glamping, among others.

“The current capacity of visitors allowed by the Ministry of Health is 18,500, which is 50% of the total number of pre-pandemic visitors in a day. We only admit visitors who have completed two doses of vaccine.
