The Public Works Department (JKR) of Kinta District informed via a statement that ongoing inspection found that slope failure still occurs due to continuous heavy rain.

The statement added that inspection by experts also found that the route is still not safe to be used.

“Referring to monitoring by the experts of JKR, the slope condition is still not safe for vehicles till the completion of landslide cleaning works.

“The closure notice is continued beginning December 10 till a date to be informed later,” the statement mentioned.

Road users are reminded to abide by the instructions of the safety sign boards on site as they plan journey schedules.
