Homegrown Brand Spreads Cheers to The Needy

By Mei Kuan

BioFri, a homegrown brand of Perak, spread cheers to two welfare homes and a non-profit organisation in Penang in conjunction with its recent awareness launch in the state.

Ipoh girl Frida Khong, who is the Founder of BioFri, presented mock cheques of RM1,000 each to Bethesda Home, Children’s Protection Society and Women’s Centre for Change (WCC).

The two welfare homes also received donations in kind that included Korean water purifiers, wheelchairs, masks, hand sanitizers, gloves and bed sheet sets.

“WCC Penang is a non-governmental and non-profit organization that helps women and children who are abused, raped and sexually assaulted,” Frida explained.

It was double the joy for BioFri as the evening also saw the launch of its upcoming product, BioFri Synbiotic, a supplement for gut health and well being.

A token of RM10.00 per box of any BioFri items from the evening’s proceeds was channeled towards WCC Penang as well.

A supplement brand offering amino antioxidant collagen beverages, BioFri was established in September 2020 with distributor outlets in Ipoh, Pulau Pinang, Kedah, Perlis and Kuala Lumpur.

Running on the motto “Health is Wealth”, BioFri is made up of natural ingredients to boost the immune system, detoxify the body, strengthen structures of bones, promote cardiovascular health and restore skin elasticity among others.

In Perak, BioFri’s products can be found at Teras Nadi Medical Supplies along Jalan Kamaruddin Isa, Signature Illumine along Jalan Raja Ekram and SYD Global.

According to Frida, exciting events to be held in Ipoh are in the pipeline for the year 2022.
