All state departments, agencies and other organisations are urged to refer to the Perak National Security Council (MKN) regarding any organisation of programmes involving mass attendance.
The Perak Menteri Besar’s Office informed in a recent statement that this is to ensure the safety of the people in view of the rising total number of COVID-19 cases lately.
According to the statement, the postponement of all programmes that was previously announced only involves those to be attended by the Menteri Besar, while other agencies must refer to MKN.
“In reference to the press statement dated 23 February 2022, the postponement only involves government programmes involving the Menteri Besar.
“As for programmes carried out by departments, agencies and other organisations, the Menteri Besar Office advises all to refer to MKN Perak,” the statement mentioned.
The decision was made by the state government after advice from MKN.
However, programmes involving the presentation of emergency aid, COVID-19 cases, vaccination and booster shot will be continued with strict compliance to the standard operating procedures.
