Additional 412 PPVs for PICKids Via Walk-in

A total of 412 vaccination centres (PPVs) have been added for the implementation of the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme for Children (PICKids) via walk-in nationwide.

Deputy Health Minister I, Datuk Dr. Noor Azmi Ghazali said parents who have yet to receive vaccination appointments for children aged 5 to 12 are encouraged to bring them to the nearest PPV.

According to him, parents are also encouraged to use the school holidays to get their children vaccinated via walk-in.

“If the quota of children’s vaccination has finished for the day at the PPV visited, parents can choose to return to the PPV the next day.

“They can also register their kids for vaccination slots through the MySejahtera application,” he said in a recent statement.

He added that the list of walk-in PPVs for PICKids and booster doses according to state is attached for parents’ reference. Parents who register their children for vaccines will receive the link for appointment booking.

Via the link, they can choose the date and location of vaccination that suits their schedule.

As of March 1, a total of 904,368 children aged 5 to 12 have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine via PICKids which began on February 3.

This figure is equivalent to 25% of the total registered children.
