Anuar Zain Charity Dinner: An Artistic Appreciation for Frontliners

The Anuar Zain Charity Dinner (Majlis Makan Malam Amal Anuar Zain – Kerana Aku Cinta) successfully collected funds to be channelled to frontliners who played a crucial role during the COVID-19 pandemic.  

Also appreciated were the local artists who have been affected by the pandemic and lost their source of income, especially budding artists. 

The charity dinner was jointly organised by Bond Holdings Sdn. Bhd. (Bond Holdings), the Ipoh City Council (MBI) dan Sycal Ventures Berhad, featuring famous local singer, Anuar Zain. 

It was held at the Ipoh International Convention Centre (IICC) with 1,000 guests in attendance. 

Raja Muda of Perak, Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa and Raja Di-Hilir of Perak, Raja Iskandar Dzulkarnain Sultan Idris Shah graced the event and presented the cheques for contributions. The ceremony was witnessed by Chief Executive Officer of Bond Holdings, Ong Teng Boon.

The affected artist community, represented by People Of Remarkable Talent (PORT), received RM40,000 in funds while the Royal Malaysia Police force received RM20,000. 

Meanwhile, the Perak State Health Department and Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun received necessities worth RM30,000. The contributions were presented to the Director of Slim River Hospital, Sivanandarajah Satgunam.

On the other hand, the Civil Defence Force received RM10,000, with the contribution presented to Civil Defence Captain, Norazlan Turiman.

Also gracing the event were Raja Puan Besar of Perak, Raja Nazhatul Shima Almarhum Sultan Idris and Raja Puan Muda of Perak, Tunku Soraya Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah.
