Elderly Feared Missing at Puncak Jelapang 

An elderly male is feared to have gone missing while doing recreational activities at Puncak Jelapang in Ipoh.

The victim, Lau Sam, 84, is believed to have been strolling in the area at 3pm yesterday.

The spokesperson for the operations room of the state fire and rescue department informed that the department received a call on the incident at 1.17am.

According to the spokesperson, a team of personnel from the Meru Raya Fire and Rescue Station was sent to the location of the incident to carry out a search operation.

“The operation is focused on the path where the victim was believed to have gone missing with the aid of the police’s K9 Unit.

“The support teams made up of the Multi Skill Team (MUST) of the fire and rescue department (JBPM), K9 Unit and drone unit have been dispatched to aid the search operation.

The operation is led by Assistant Fire Superintendent, Sharudi Muhamad Halil.
