Implementation of Maximum Price Scheme During Festive Season to Stabilise Price of Goods

The government will continue the implementation of the 2022 Hari Raya Puasa Festive Season Maximum Price Scheme effective April 26 till May 6.

It is to be implemented seven days before, two days during and three days after the festival day.

Executive Councillor for Domestic Trade and Consumerism, National Integration and Civil Society, Dato’ Abdul Yunus Jamahri stated that this is a step to stabilise the price of goods and ensure supply in the market.

He added that the ministry might extend the scheme if necessary.

“The ministry also implemented the maximum price of chicken and chicken eggs on February 5 and is effective until June 5.

“For Perak, the total items listed under the scheme is 25 from the categories of chicken, chicken egg, dry goods, vegetable and meat.”

Earlier, he carried out a walkabout to monitor the implementation of the scheme at AEON Big Supermarket, Falim. 

Present were the state chief enforcer of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP), Dottie Azlina Ismail and senior enforcers of KPDNHEP Perak.
