Abandoned Sewerage Works Raise Concern From Residents

The piping construction for public sewers which has been abandoned for two years at Taman Sri Perkasa in Ipoh raises concern from local residents.

Besides causing traffic congestion, the unfinished works also endanger road users especially at night.

Gopeng MCA Coordinator, Cally Ting said her party received complaints from residents regarding the matter and they wished to obtain information on the works.

“Following the complaints, I went on site to inspect together with former Simpang Pulai assemblyman, Alex Chan Chin Chee and Gopeng MCA Vice Treasurer, Johnson Low.

“I also contacted the contractor, Pintas Utama. I would like to thank the engineer, Shida, who came to the site immediately,” she said.

A discussion session was held to determine the solution.

She hoped the issue can be resolved in these few weeks to ensure the safety of road users and residents.
