The Mayor of Ipoh, Dato’ Rumaizi Baharin @ Md Daud said “It is indeed timely for The Haven to introduce this Musical Extravaganza in Ipoh, as the state of Perak officially earmarked Ipoh to be promoted as the City of Limestone, Music and Arts for Asia”.
“This Musical Extravaganza is definitely capable of creating history as well as giving its guests the opportunity to enjoy the concert which will take place on a floating stage, in the middle of the lake amidst the lush setting of the resort”.

The Haven Musical Extravaganza will feature music from the Selangor Symphony Orchestra and is supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC). The concert will be on for three nights starting 27, 28 and 29 October 2022.
Also present was Chief Executive Officer for Perak Tourism, Nurmalis Musa.
Meanwhile, Chief Executive Officer of The Haven All Suite Resort, Peter Chan said the concert will be performed under the direction of Selangor Symphony Orchestra, founder and conductor Eugene Pook, mezzo-soprano Jiayao Sun, international violinist Dr. Hyungi Kim and Malaysia’s very own local singer Asyraf Farhan Adi Zairi.
“The performances which are set to begin at 8.00 p.m. on the respective dates will also include famous pieces from The Sound of Music, Phantom of the Opera and Kitaro”.
“Inspired by the annual Sarawak Rainforest Music Festival; we believe The Haven Musical Extravaganza has the potential to be a most attractive yearly event and can assist in revitalising tourism within the state of Perak”
