Mimbar Nusantara Holdings Sdn Bhd (MNH), donated RM5,000.00 to KuRenang Swimming Academy in support of the Malaysian Inter-Club Swimming Championship President’s Cup 2022, which will take place from 9 to 11 December 2022.

MNH Managing Director, Nazrin Cheong Abdullah said support from various agencies and individuals is necessary to ensure that swimming can be managed well and is at a reputable level.

“Collaboration between the private sector and the academy is very welcome in an effort to polish more new talents, especially in the state of Perak.

“Looking at the record of achievements of the country’s athletes in the past several tournaments has injected the enthusiasm of the young generation to go further in this field of sports.

“Therefore, the MNH was called to jointly contribute funds to ensure that the back-up team, which consists of these young children, gets support during the training sessions,” he told reporters in conjunction with the Donation Presentation Ceremony of the new Malaysian Inter-Club Swimming Championship President’s Cup 2022.

Nazrin Cheong also presented a replica of the cheque to KuRenang Swimming Academy representative, Kevin Yeap.

KuRenang Swimming Academy, is one of the academies that organises the ‘Learn To Swim’ programme for competitive and elite swimmers.

According to Nazrin Cheong, through the donation, he is confident that it will help produce positive results in producing new talented athletes and even have a big impact on the development of swimming in this country.

“We want to ensure that the interests and inclinations of young people can be properly realised, thus helping the country to produce international-class individuals,” he said.
