Water pipe is the source of the large puddle at the Amanjaya Bus Terminal

By Rosli Mansor

The large puddles on the road at the Amanjaya Bus Terminal are believed to be caused by a valve in the Perak Water Board’s (LAP) water piping system under the road.

The cause was identified following an inspection conducted by Puncak Emas Infra Sdn Bhd (PEISB).

PEISB in a message via its Facebook page informed that the inspection was carried out as a follow-up complaint posted by Manjoi State Assembly Member, Ustaz Hafez Sabri.

“The PEISB would like to give a little explanation about the renovation works.

“After receiving the complaint, the PEISB conducted an investigation and took initial action on the night of November 25 by installing traffic management equipment in the area to ensure the safety of road users.

“Based on preliminary investigations, the cause of the puddle was due to the valve of the LAP water piping system under the road.

“It had a slight leak and this matter was immediately reported to the LAP for action,” he said.

This water leakage has caused the structure of the road to become weak and damaged; hence the formation of puddles.

On 26th November, with the cooperation of LAP and PEISB, the cause of the damage was identified and repaired.

For the record, this area was repaired around last March by the PEISB.

The PEISB would like to express its gratitude to the Manjoi, LAP assemblyman and the PEISB staff who have worked together to ensure the safety of road users.
