Bukit Merah Laketown Resort is lively again thanks to the holidays

By Rosli Mansor

The atmosphere at Bukit Merah Laketown Resort (BMLR) is lively and cheerful again with the presence of visitors in conjunction with the school holiday season at the beginning of this month.

The survey at the location also found that the visitors present were not only from the surrounding area but also from the East Coast and the south of the country.

According to the Group Chief Executive Officer of M K Land Holdings Berhad, Datuk Faris Yahaya, there are various attractions available at BMLR, including the Water Park, Petting Zoo, Orang Utan Island and other recreational activities.

“Visitors take advantage of the relatively long school holidays at the moment to take their children on holiday and go for a walk.

“BMLR is the preferred stopover destination for many visitors not only because of its location near the North-South Highway, but because the price of the room and entrance ticket to the water theme park is very reasonable and worthwhile, especially for large families with many children,” he said in a statement on Thursday.

In the meantime, he said various activities involving the improvement of facilities have been and will continue to be implemented for the convenience and comfort of visitors.

This includes the improvement of accommodation facilities at Kampung Air and the addition of exclusive accommodation rooms for visitors who want to experience something different in their tourism mission.

“Various other packages are also available for individuals, government agencies and companies interested in organising meetings, seminars, annual dinners, and even weddings.

“The company is also examining and reassessing the Bukit Merah master development plan to make this area a new development hub to boost the tourism and real estate sectors in northern Perak”, he said.

He said they are also offering attractive packages throughout this school holiday season and the public can book the Syioknya Holiday package provided, where the promotional voucher is valid until 31 January 2023.

“To attract more visitors, the resort will organise more activities here.

“This includes the organisation of the Shimano Bukit Merah Laketown Resort Jamboree 2022 cycling event which will be held on December 17 starting at 7:30am.

“It is expected that a total of 1,000 participants from all over the country will participate in this cycling activity which involves a cycling distance of 58 km,” he added.
