Sharpen skills through writing classes

A lot of new knowledge on the aspects of writing was gained by the participants who followed the Article Writing Course organised by Talent Perak yesterday.

This partnership helps the participants to sharpen their existing writing skills, thus developing their talents.

Course participant, Anuar Affandy Ahmad said, he was able to gain new knowledge, especially in the aspects of media management and editing.

According to him, many guidelines were given, for example how to write the beginning of an article or an intro.

“As a writer for the department, this session is very helpful in increasing work skills.

“It meets the purpose of my attendance, which is to gain new knowledge,” said an official from the Media Unit of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Living Costs in the state of Perak.

For a financial planner, Zafiq Syaddiq Radzi, the relaxed session also gave the participants space to ask various questions.

He said many inputs were received which could help him to write better .

“For example, I often write about financial aspects and related matters on personal social media sites.

“With the input obtained in this course, it also injected me with confidence to continue working,” he said.

A total of 30 participants participated in this course which was held at the Perak Children’s Aspiration Centre Training Center (Pasak) on Jalan Raja Musa Mahadi.

Among them were media officers, civil servants, lecturers, representatives of non-governmental organisations, students and those interested in the field of writing.

The course was conducted by freelance journalist and columnist, Zaki Salleh who previously served as Assistant News Editor at Kosmo newspaper.

He has 25 years of experience in the field of journalism and is also one of the writers on the Peraktastic online media site.
