Sultan Nazrin officiated Masjid Muhammad Al-Fateh, Taman Jati

IPOH: Sultan Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzudin Shah graced  Majlis Sambutan Nuzul Al-Quran Peringkat Negeri Perak serta Majlis Perasmian Masjid Muhammad Al-Fateh, Taman Jati here on Friday.

His Majesty’s arrival was greeted by the Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly (DUN), Datuk Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid and the Chairman Majlis Agama Islam dan Adat Melayu Perak (MAIPk), Tan Sri Mohd Annuar Zaini.

Also accompanying were Raja Muda Perak, Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa and Raja Di Hilir Perak, Raja Iskandar Dzulkarnain Sultan Idris Shah.

Sultan Nazrin then graced to plant a Malayan Yellow Dwarf coconut tree in the grounds of the mosque as an auspicious gesture for the inauguration before visiting the urban gardens in the mosque accompanied by heads of departments and agencies at the state level.

His Majesty then broke fast with the guests and performed Maghrib, Isha and Tarawih prayers at the mosque which was completed in 2016.

Earlier, Sultan Nazrin also presented aid for Hari Raya Aidilfitri MAIPk from the zakat fund through mukim heads from 12 districts representing the recipients consisting of poor and needy asnaf groups throughout the state of Perak
