IPOH: Kinder Labz preschool and kindergarten celebrated their Sports Day this morning with 361 students participating.
Proud parents watched as the kids took to the school field in a Children’s March, followed by a fast-paced aerobics session and a colourful pom pom dance.
The kids also got to bask in the spirit of competition as they vied for trophies in relay races as well as the Stool-to-Stool Race, Bean Bag Balancing Race, Kangaroo Hop, Baton Run and Obstacle Run.
In her speech, Bonanza Educare executive director Ms Evelyn Chen said the sports day was a momentous occasion and a celebration of teamwork, movement and just having fun together.
“Today, we are not just celebrating the fastest runners or the highest jumpers, but every single child who is participating. Every effort counts towards their growth and learning.
“We are also fostering the spirit of sportsmanship; we will cheer for our friends, we will encourage everyone to finish their race and at the end of it, we will shake their hands and laugh together,” she said.
For most of these children, it was their first experience at sportsmanship as it has been four long years since Kinder Labz held its last Sports Day as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
With branches in Jalan Woodward and Bandar Baru Sri Klebang in Ipoh as well as Tadika Ilmu Cemerlang in Seri Kembangan, Kinder Labz offers four-hour, half day and full day programmes for Pre-Nursery (2-3 years old), Nursery (3-4 years old), K1 (5 years old), and K2 (6 years old).
It also has a Before & After School Club (BASC) programme, which gives primary students an extra hand with homework and also additional practices to help them keep up with school.
