IPOH – Pertubuhan Rakan Komuniti Pendidikan Perak (PRKPP) or Perak Community Education Partners Organization, firmly believes that excellence in education is the cornerstone for nurturing quality human capital, a crucial asset for the nation.
Its Chairperson, Dato’ Normah Hanum Dato’ Ibrahim, stated that the establishment of PRKPP aims to assist schools in the state of Perak in conducting educational programmes beyond regular school hours.
“We run extracurricular programmes with the hope that children can utilise their leisure time for more beneficial activities.
“PRKPP serves as a primary platform for students to navigate the educational landscape built on the foundations of the Industrial Revolution.
“Additionally, it fosters students with competencies in knowledge and skills that align with the demands of the 21st century. Furthermore, it moulds students into individuals with outstanding character and humanitarian values.
“The activities undertaken are not limited to the Kampar district alone but extend to all districts within the state of Perak. We prioritise preschool and primary school students,” she said during her speech at the PRKPP Hi-Tea event held at the Galasa Hall recently.
The PRKPP Hi-Tea event was organised to express gratitude to the donors of PRKPP, comprising various NGOs and individuals. Among the most significant contributors was the Founder and Chairman of the Sunway Group, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr Jeffrey Cheah, who also officiated the event.
Furthermore, the highlight of this event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between PRKPP, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, and Sunway University. This collaboration signifies a commitment to enhancing education in Perak.
PRKPP has also partnered with three other higher education institutions to carry out various educational programmes, namely Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), Kompas International College, and Shen Jai TVET College.
