Inspire Ipoh to Bring Art and Culture to Urban Areas

The Kembara Inspirasi Seni Perak (Perak Artistic Inspiration Journey) will be held for three consecutive days in three districts in the state of Perak, namely Teluk Intan, Lumut, and Taiping. This program series will begin next week at Menara Condong (Leaning Tower) Teluk Intan on October 13, Laman Karya Lumut (Lumut Art Space) on October 14, and Dataran Warisan Taiping (Taiping Heritage Square) on October 15.

This journey program is part of the CONCERT IN THE CITY (Artistic Inspiration Tour) NORTHERN MALAYSIA 2022 series, which aims to integrate art into urban areas and bring cultural art closer to the people of Malaysia, especially in the state of Perak. The three selected locations are iconic urban landmarks and are popular tourist destinations for both domestic and international visitors.

Admission is free, and it will take place from 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The event will include performances by traditional dance groups that will open the stage, followed by four bands: A. Limin, The Alif, Kazim, and Voice In Public. These bands will perform their own compositions as well as songs with artistic and cultural elements, including patriotic themes, to foster unity among the people of Malaysia.

Pertubuhan Pendidikan Inspirasi Social Ipoh (The Ipoh Social Inspirational Education Organization) [Inspire Ipoh], with the support of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture and the Municipal Councils, hopes to receive support from all to ensure the program runs smoothly and receives a good response, with hopes of continuing it in the coming years.
