TAMBUN: A female driver died, while a male student suffered severe injuries in an accident involving a Perodua Viva car and a motorcycle in Kampung Changkat Kinding today.
Assistant Director of Operations for the Perak Fire and Rescue Department, Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad stated that the 59-year-old female victim was driving the Perodua Viva and the 17-year-old student was riding the motorcycle.
He mentioned that they received a call about the incident at 7:17 am and the Tambun Fire and Rescue Station members rushed to the scene.
Upon arrival, they found a collision between a Perodua Viva car and a motorcycle.
“There was a woman trapped and died in the car, while a motorcyclist suffered severe injuries,” he stated in the statement here today.
Sabarodzi explained that a 6-year-old child was inside the vehicle, but fortunately, the child was unharmed and referred for further examination.
Following that, he stated that the severely injured victim was handed over to an ambulance and the confirmed deceased victim was handed over to the police for further action.
The operation, led by Senior Fire Officer II Suhaimi Nijar, concluded at 8:03 am.
