IPOH – The Chief Minister of Perak, Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, aims to attract 8 million domestic tourists and 350,000 foreign tourists to the state of Perak in conjunction with the New Year 2024 and Visit Perak 2024 (TMP2024) campaign.

He emphasized the importance of collaboration among the people of Perak to ensure the success of TMP2024 in achieving its targeted goals.

“We are all ambassadors for the state who will promote Perak as the preferred destination, showcasing the charm, beauty, and uniqueness of our tourism products.

“Utilize social media platforms to share interesting stories, images, videos, or any medium that can attract visitors. Share insights into the delights of local cuisine, the uniqueness of our culture, and the exciting programs lined up throughout the 2024 tourism calendar,” he said during his speech at the Launch Ceremony of Visit Perak 2024 and the New Year 2024 Celebration at Silverlakes Village Outlet, Batu Gajah, last night.

Also present were the Chairman of the Tourism, Industry, Investment, and Corridor Development Committee of the state, Loh Sze Yee; the Mayor of Ipoh, Dato’ Rumaizi Baharin, and the State Exco Members of the Perak Government.

Saarani added that Silverlakes Village Outlet (SVO) was chosen as the launch location for TMP2024 because it represents the latest attraction in Perak tourism.

“Situated near Kellie’s Castle, a famous tourist attraction in this region, and adjacent to the Lat’s House Gallery, SVO is undoubtedly a must-visit location for tourists coming to the state,” he stated.

More than 40,000 visitors attended SVO as early as 8:00 pm to see various events during the New Year 2024 and TMP 2024 celebrations.

In addition to singing and cultural performances, visitors also had the opportunity to enjoy the climax of the fireworks display precisely at midnight.
