Eight Injured, Including Children and Infants, in North-South Expressway Accident

Eight individuals, including children and injured infants, were involved in a vehicle accident on the North-South Expressway, northbound, at kilometre 183.9, early this morning.

According to the Assistant Director of Operations of the Perak Fire and Rescue Department, Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, the incident occurred around 2:16 a.m.

Following the incident, personnel from the Bagan Serai Fire and Rescue Station were dispatched to the scene.

He stated that all the victims were traveling in a Proton Exora when the vehicle overturned on the right side.

“The accident involved eight victims, including one male, three females, two children, and two infants.

“Firefighters extricated all the victims from the vehicle, and they were transported to Taiping Hospital for further treatment,” he said in a statement on Monday.

The operation, led by Senior Fire Officer II, Muhammad Khalid Mohd Idris, involved six personnel and concluded at 3:45 a.m.
