IPOH: For lovers of Chinese cuisine seeking authentic flavours, Yuk Sou Hin at Weil Hotel stands out as the perfect destination.

Located on the first floor of the hotel, this restaurant offers more than 55 menu items, catering to a wide range of palates.

According to Assistant Chinese Restaurant Manager, Angeline Leong, the restaurant not only emphasizes authentic flavors but also prioritizes customer comfort.

“We ensure that every dish is meticulously prepared by two highly experienced chefs. Authentic taste and customer satisfaction are our top priorities,” she said.

Signature Dishes That Delight

Among the à la carte dishes that draw in customers are the Signature Smoked Duck with Lychee Wood, Deep-Fried Prawn with Salted Egg Yolk, Wok-Fried Black Pepper Beef, Wok-Fried French Beans with Dried Chilli and Minced Chicken, Pineapple Sweet and Sour Chicken, Sichuan Hot and Sour Seafood Soup, and Crabmeat and Shredded Chicken Soup.

Angeline highlighted that the Signature Smoked Duck with Lychee Wood is a customer favourite due to its aroma and tender texture, which leaves a lasting impression.

“This dish involves a complex preparation process, particularly the marination of the duck with tea and various herbs, which takes overnight to ensure the perfect flavour,” she added.

Chinese Tea and Special Chinese New Year Delights

To complete the dining experience, Yuk Sou Hin offers six varieties of Chinese tea, perfectly paired with their signature dishes.

Among them, Pu Er tea is a popular choice and is known for its health benefits.

In conjunction with Chinese New Year, the restaurant also offers special reunion or celebratory set menus for 10 people, priced from RM1,388 to RM2,088.

The festive Yu Sheng platter, symbolizing prosperity in Chinese culture, is another highlight. For a unique twist, Yuk Sou Hin presents its Rainbow Fruits Yu Sheng, a vibrant combination of fresh fruit slices.

Muslim-Friendly Menu and Operating Hours

Notably, all the dishes at Yuk Sou Hin are Muslim-friendly.

“We always ensure that the ingredients we use are halal, catering to the needs of our Muslim customers,” Angeline assured.

The restaurant operates from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., resuming from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
