IPOH: As in previous years, Meenambal did not miss the opportunity to contribute food to the public during the Thaipusam celebration.
This year, staff at Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital (HRPB) distributed 3,000 vegetarian biriyani meals to Hindu devotees at the Gunung Cheroh Kallumalai Sri Subramaniar Temple.
The food donation was made a day before Thaipusam for devotees fulfilling their vows at the temple.
According to Meenambal, this food donation is part of her charitable work.
“The biriyani food distribution program to the devotees is made possible through the support of family, friends, and sincere individuals.
“I personally prepared the food to be given to 3,000 people. I am glad to be able to help,” she said.
At the same time, she expressed her heartfelt thanks to all parties, including individuals, who helped make the program a success.
