IPOH: Green Energy Asia Biofuel Resources (Green Energy Asia), in collaboration with the Ipoh City Council (MBI), is spearheading an initiative to recycle used cooking oil into biodiesel.
This effort not only helps reduce environmental pollution but also provides a cleaner energy source.
According to Green Energy Asia, the weekly collection schedule is available on the company’s Facebook page.
“We collect used cooking oil from Monday to Saturday across various locations in Ipoh, including Medan Ipoh, Bercham, Taman Canning, Tasek, Klebang, and more.
“In addition, collection centres are available at markets and commercial areas to encourage public participation,” it said.
The programme helps prevent drain and river pollution while supporting a circular economy by converting waste into biodiesel.
Community participation also plays a role in creating a greener and more sustainable environment.
