APM caught 15-foot Python hiding in college equipment store

IPOH: A 15-foot-long python hiding in an equipment store near the staff quarters of Ipoh Vocational College, Persiaran Brash, was successfully caught on Thursday night.

According to the Head of the Kinta District Operations Control Centre Squad (PKOD) of the Civil Defence Force (APM), Captain A. Balasubramaniam, the presence of the python was discovered by the college staff.

He said a report of the incident was received at 9:38 p.m., and four APM personnel were dispatched to the location.

“The snake was found in the equipment store at the college quarters.

“At the time, there were three men in the store, one of whom was holding a wire to snare the snake’s head,” he said in a statement on Thursday.

He added that the special snake-catching operation was fully completed by 10 p.m.
