IPOH – Residents around the Raja Nazrin Shah Mosque in Kampung Rapat Jaya Tambahan contributed to the community through a blood donation program held at the mosque.
The mission was to collect at least 80 donors to help replenish the blood supply at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital Blood Bank in Ipoh.
The program was organized by the committee of Raja Nazrin Shah Mosque in collaboration with the Perak branch of Papisma (Malaysian Islamic Medical Association).
Program director, Syed Abdullah Al Kaff, said this was the first time such an event was held at the mosque.
He added that the program also received support from the Air Force Academy (ATU), which sent 40 trainees to donate blood.
“We would like to thank ATU for participating in this community program.
“Your blood donation is truly meaningful in helping those in need,” he said.
The program also included health screenings such as blood pressure checks, as well as glucose and cholesterol tests.
