IPOH: Libraries are now more enjoyable, not only serving as repositories of knowledge but also as one-stop centres for various activities for the public.
The ‘My Love PTR – Cerita Ipoh’ programme will be held for three days from May 29 to 31 at the Tun Razak Library.
It is also organised in conjunction with the 37th Anniversary of Ipoh City.
Exciting activities include a book sale, heritage exhibition, and coloring competitions for children aged 9, 10, and under 12.
There will also be a photography competition themed Iconic Food & Beverages in Ipoh (Food Photography).
Additionally, to provide a deeper understanding and lineage of the city’s history, the Perak Heritage Society will organize an exhibition titled Ipoh, History and Heritage, while the ASFON Perak Association will manage the photography competition.
The programme aims to encourage children and the general public from all age groups and ethnic backgrounds to participate in activities at the Tun Razak Library.
It is hoped that programmes like this will spark greater public interest in getting to know Ipoh better and in making the library a more attractive place to visit.
