Ipoh Parade Transforms into a Cosplay Realm for Anime and Gaming Fans

Ipoh Parade was transformed into a paradise for anime and gaming fans during the recently concluded Cosplay Party 5.0, which saw its main court filled with characters straight out of the world of 2D fantasy. Beloved characters from popular anime and video games came to life, engaging with shoppers and injecting vibrant energy throughout the mall.
From Ao Bing (Nezha), Tatalov (Honkai: Star Rail), and Luffy (One Piece) to Li Huo Wang (Strange Fairy), these iconic characters roamed the mall’s concourse and upper floors, blurring the lines between fiction and reality. The event attracted hundreds of enthusiastic cosplayers and drew over a thousand spectators, creating a lively atmosphere.
One of the main highlights of the event was the Cosplay Competition, which featured participants showcasing intricate costumes, detailed makeup, and impressive performances that earned resounding ovations from the crowd.
Ultimately, Lulucoser (real name Nur Marsya Malihah binti Mohd Hamidi) stood out with a stellar portrayal of Luffy, capturing the judges’ unanimous praise and taking home the title of champion, along with RM1,500 worth of cash and prizes.
Hino (real name Yip Kong Chen) earned the 1st runner-up spot with a portrayal of Konan (Naruto), receiving RM1,000 worth of cash and prizes, while Feefcoser (real name Muhammad Muzzammil Afif bin Mohd Hamidi) came in 3rd with a portrayal of Sabo (One Piece), taking home RM500 worth of cash and prizes. Consolation prize winners each received prizes worth RM200.

The panel of judges comprised of renowned cosplayers Frankie Liben, King Angel 天王, and Crazed Joker, who also interacted with fans during the event, offered valuable feedback to contestants and encouraging them to continue pushing their creative boundaries in the cosplay scene.

The event also featured a 4-day Doujin Market, where fans could purchase limited-edition handmade crafts, fan art, and original merchandise — further supporting local creators and artists.
