Ipoh: As part of the Temasya Budaya @ Negeri Perak 2025 celebration, the public is invited to take part in an open Aerodance Competition, set to take place on June 29 with a vibrant and uniquely Malaysian theme — Batik.
The competition, which is scheduled to begin at 8.30 am, will be held at the compound of the Manjung Municipal Council Stadium and is limited to only 15 participating teams.
According to the organisers, the event aims to uncover new talent while highlighting teamwork, style and creativity among participants, all showcased in a colourful atmosphere inspired by batik — a symbol of Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage.
“Participants are encouraged to present fresh and innovative choreography and costumes that reflect the beauty and uniqueness of local batik,” the statement read.
The champion will walk away with a cash prize of RM1,000, while the first and second runners-up will receive RM700 and RM500, respectively. Four consolation prizes worth RM200 each will also be awarded.
