Woman who ran into forest found safe in Manjoi

IPOH: A 24-year-old woman was found safe after she went missing, believed to have fled from her home into a nearby forest in Kampung Dato Ahmad Said Tambahan 3, Manjoi, late last night.

Assistant Director of Operations for the Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, said a call about the incident was received at 11:57 p.m. last night.

He said firefighters from the Meru Fire and Rescue Station were dispatched to the scene and found that the woman’s family was already searching for her around the house and trying to contact her by phone.

“The victim eventually answered the phone and informed them that she was lost and near a signboard marked Sungai Kati, and that she was feeling scared.

“The victim was found safe and unharmed,” he said in a statement here today Friday.

She was then brought home in an EMRS (Emergency Medical Rescue Services) vehicle and handed over to her family for further action.
