TELUK INTAN — Koridor Utiliti Darul Ridzuan (KUDR) and the Teluk Intan Municipal Council (MPTI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to implement a fully digital utility permit system in the MPTI administrative area.
Witnessed by Perak State Housing and Local Government Committee Chairperson YB Sandrea Ng Shy Ching, the MoU will see MPTI adopt KUDR’s KUDRAT online system starting July 1, 2025, enabling end-to-end online applications for excavation and utility works.
Sandrea said the move supports Agenda Perak Sejahtera 2030 by enhancing transparency, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making within local councils.
“This collaboration ensures better utility coordination and supports smart city development that benefits both the public and investors,” she said.
KUDR Executive Director Datuk Redza Rafiq Abdul Razak emphasised that KUDR acts as a facilitator, allowing PBTs to focus on enforcement and planning while improving workflow coordination among stakeholders.
KUDR is now active across all JKR jurisdictions in Perak and has been adopted by MBI and MPT, with other local councils set to follow.
