IPOH: A total of 33 teams participated in a lively cooking competition held in conjunction with the 37th Ipoh City Anniversary Carnival at Dr Seenivasagam Park.
Of the total, 22 teams competed in the Main Course category, while 11 teams took part in the Dessert and Beverage category.
Each team was given two hours to complete their dishes, which were judged based on creativity, taste, presentation, and cleanliness.
The top winners in each category received cash prizes, trophies, hampers, participation certificates, and sponsored items from the event organizers and sponsors.
The Mayor of Ipoh, Zamakhshari Hanipah, officiated the program.
The cooking competition was one of the main highlights of the two-day Ipoh City Anniversary Carnival, which kicked off today.
Various other engaging activities were also held, including a Rahmah Sales Fair, Picnic Setup Decoration Contest, Barista Competition, Pop-Up Market, Sepak Raga Ratus and Tug of War tournaments, as well as live entertainment under the “City Melody” showcase.
In addition, a variety of relaxing, family-friendly, and beneficial activities were lined up to ensure the 37th anniversary celebration of Ipoh City was marked in a joyful and united spirit.
The Ipoh City Council invited all residents and visitors from outside the city to join in the festivities and help make the celebration a memorable one.
