‘Oishii Moments’: Spend RM50 and Stand a Chance to Win a Holiday in Japan

By Rosli Mansor Ahmad Razali

IPOH – Fancy a holiday in Japan? All it takes is a minimum spend of RM50 at The Atrium Restaurant, Travelodge Hotel Ipoh, to be in the running.

The hotel is rolling out its “Dine & Win” contest as part of its Japanese-themed “Oishii Moments” campaign, which celebrates both food and culture from the Land of the Rising Sun.

Running from September 6 to October 6, diners will receive one lucky draw entry for every RM50 spent in a single receipt.

Up for grabs are three grand prizes — a four-day, three-night stay at either Travelodge Honmachi Osaka or Travelodge Kyoto Shijo-Kawaramachi, two of Japan’s most vibrant cultural centres. Winners will be announced on October 7 via The Atrium Restaurant’s official Instagram page (@theatrium.restaurant).

Participation is straightforward: diners only need to fill out the entry form, attach their receipt and drop it into the designated lucky draw box.

As part of the promotion, The Atrium is also serving up Japanese favourites including Fried Udon, Udon Soup with Prawn Tempura, Unagi and Chicken Teriyaki Bento sets, and crispy Prawn and Vegetable Tempura. Diners can also enjoy sweet treats and refreshing drinks such as Matcha Ice Cream, Green Tea, Genmaicha, Ginger Lemonade and the colourful Tokyo Sunrise mocktail.

Beyond the seasonal menu, The Atrium continues to feature popular staples like Hainanese Chicken Chop, Rendang Tok, wok-fried Char Kway Teow, Seafood Cantonese Hor Fun and Portuguese Egg Tarts.

Adding to the festivities, Travelodge Ipoh will host the “Oishii Moments: Japanese Cultural Weekend” on September 13 and 14 in collaboration with The Malay College Kuala Kangsar (MCKK).

The two-day event, running from 10 am to 6 pm at The Atrium, will showcase Japanese traditions through activities such as origami, kirigami, yukata wearing, calligraphy, traditional games and quizzes. Visitors can also catch lively Yosakoi dance performances by MCKK students.

Food and lifestyle booths will further enhance the festival atmosphere with highlights including sushi from Mizakaya Japanese Cuisine, Chateraise desserts, Mico onigiri, fragrances from Umade and Rienna Auratherapy Solutions (Crystal).
