Location Cleaned Up by MBI

By Aida Aziz

IPOH: The area in Taman Cempaka, where a homeless person was frequently reported to be defecating in public and accumulating trash, has been cleaned by cleaning workers from the Ipoh City Council (MBI).

A local resident who also filed the complaint expressed appreciation and gratitude for the prompt response from the relevant authorities regarding the issue that was reported by Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic.

However, according to the complainant, it is understood that the homeless individual has since moved to another location around downtown Ipoh and is no longer in Taman Cempaka.

“The issue with the homeless person in Taman Cempaka is resolved, I just saw that the individual has moved to another area in downtown Ipoh.

“Nonetheless, thank you to the MBI Urban Services Division in the Cempaka Zone for cleaning up the trash piles left by the homeless person.

“Also, thanks to the media Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic for consistently reporting transparent news for the people and helping to channel complaints or local issues. Hopefully, more such issues can be resolved,” the complainant said.

Previously, Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic had reported complaints from residents of Taman Cempaka concerning a homeless individual behind a laundromat in the area, which had raised concern among the local community.

The homeless individual, whose gender could not be identified, was often seen defecating in various spots around the location.

At the same time, this behavior caused the area to become dirty, leading to potential health risks and bad odors.
