IPOH – An annual Hindu religious celebration will be held this Sunday at the Kaliamman Temple in Ipoh.
The celebration, scheduled for April 26, will begin early in the morning with prayers dedicated to Goddess Kaliamman.
Temple officials hope this year’s event will be more vibrant, with a large turnout from devotees.


The temple is among the well-known places of worship within the Hindu community in Ipoh.
Its treasurer, Uvanasvaran Balaguru, said the temple was built in 1988 and has a large number of devotees.
He added that the management has made thorough preparations to ensure the smooth running of the celebration.
Facilities for devotees have also been arranged to provide comfort throughout the event.
The celebration is expected to attract strong interest from the local community.
