According to Managing Director Fenix Chong, this shop is the only establishment producing such hand-printed ceramics.
Its uniqueness lies in the meticulous handwork of experienced workers who possess high-level brush stroke techniques.
“The process is not easy. Each layer of colour must be applied by a different worker at different times. We cannot let one person complete all the colours because the paint used dries very quickly,” he said.
To ensure the colours remain eternal and look premium, the hand-painted ceramics are fired at a temperature of 200°C for two hours.
Despite the complexity, the efficiency of this skilled team of six workers allows them to produce approximately 100 ceramic pieces a day. However, this total depends entirely on the complexity of the design and patterns requested.
Each unit is not just a beverage container, but a ‘living’ piece of art resulting from the hard work and creativity of local talent.
