IPOH: About RM50,000 is needed to rebuild an animal shelter in Simpang Pulai that was destroyed in a recent fire.

Simpang Pulai assemblyman Wong Chai Yi said 21 animals were killed in the incident at Noah’s Ark Ipoh on April 23.
“The shelter is an NGO that has genuinely carried out animal rescue work, particularly involving stray and special-needs animals, through the efforts of volunteers over many years.
“I visited the location to assess the actual situation, and a small contribution has been channelled to help them restart efforts to rebuild the shelter and continue caring for the surviving animals.
“It is understood that they require between RM40,000 and RM50,000 to rebuild the shelter.
“We hope more people will come forward to lend their support so this noble effort can continue,” she said.
