Junior Chambers International (JCI) Ipoh are once again organising their annual 520 community programme, which is set to hold its Youth Mental Health Day on 23 May, at the JKKN Perak Auditorium in Ipoh, from 9am to 5pm.

The event is aimed at adolescents and their families, with activities designed to address the mental and emotional challenges faced by young people.
The day’s programme includes a screening of the Pixar film Inside Out, a youth psychology talk by Dr Thong Meng Hang, a sexual education awareness session by Dr Sandy Lee, and art healing activities facilitated by Miss Jasmine Liew.
Three local welfare organisations have been named as beneficiaries of the event, which are the Ipoh Salvation Army Home, Rumah Anak-Anak Yatim dan Miskin “Anning” and Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kanak-kanak Berjasa Kinta.
Children from these homes will attend alongside paying participants and 80 percent of any event surplus will be donated to the three organisations.
Admission is RM25 for students aged 12 to 18 as well as for JCI members, while the fee is RM50 for non-members, adults and guardians. Lunch is included for all ticket holders.
The event is supported by YB Wong Chai Yi, ADUN for Simpang Pulai.
