IPOH, June 16 — Jelapang assemblyman Cheah Pou Hian has extended assistance to a family in Taman Arkid who recently lost their breadwinner due to pneumonia.
He visited single mother S. Hema, who is now left to raise her three children following the passing of her husband.
During the visit, Cheah provided grocery aid to help the family cope with daily needs for the next two months.
The contribution aims to ease the burden of the family, who are now facing financial difficulties after losing their main source of income.
He said welfare assistance of this nature is crucial to ensure that those in need continue to receive appropriate support.
Cheah also expressed hope that the aid would help the family manage their daily food requirements during this challenging period.
Meanwhile, S. Hema expressed gratitude for the compassion and support shown by the elected representative.
She said the assistance has provided some relief for her and her children as they navigate a difficult time.
The family also conveyed their appreciation to Cheah for his concern and contributions.
