HUTAN MELINTANG: Enforcement action has been taken against a durian trader operating on a road shoulder, disrupting traffic flow and posing potential safety risks to road users here.

The Teluk Intan Municipal Council (MPTI) stated that the trader was operating on the Hutan Melintang road shoulder, in front of Happy Angel.

The council added that the trader was conducting business activities without a valid authorization or permit from the local authority.

“MPTI, through its Bagan Datuk branch, conducted an inspection and investigation into the durian trader operating on the road shoulder.

“Consequently, enforcement action was taken against the trader.

“The trader was also given information and advice to secure authorization or a seasonal fruit sales permit beforehand, and to select an appropriate, safe business location that does not disrupt traffic or public order.

“MPTI remains committed to ensuring business activities are conducted in accordance with established regulations for the safety, comfort, and well-being of the community,” the council stated.
