IPOH – Hulu Kinta State Assemblyman Muhamad Arafat Varisai Mahamad conducted a field visit to several locations in Tambun to inspect issues and complaints raised by residents.
The visit was also attended by MBI Zone 2 Councillor Ts. Marsalifh Imammim Osman, officers from the Ipoh City Council (MBI), and representatives of the local community.
The inspection identified several key issues requiring immediate attention, including road subsidence and damaged drainage structures in Taman Sri Tambun.


Residents also highlighted concerns over speeding vehicles along the main access road into the housing area, which poses safety risks to the community.
In addition, a request was made to install an additional speed bump in front of Sekolah Kebangsaan Tambun to help reduce the risk of accidents.
The need for road resurfacing works along Jalan Ampang, Tambun, was also raised to improve road conditions and user comfort.


The delegation further reviewed the persistent flooding problem at Hala Tambun Permai 8, Batu 4, which continues to affect residents.
According to MBI, several of the identified issues will be addressed promptly through the necessary implementation processes to ensure the safety and well-being of the community.
The field visit reflects MBI’s commitment to ensuring that public complaints receive due attention while supporting the development of a more prosperous, safe, and sustainable Ipoh city.
