IPOH: “Ever since this convenience store café went viral on social media, our neighbourhood in Meru Raya has become noisy and disruptive late into the night,” said a representative of residents from Taman Meru Suria.
Hassan claimed the café is located within the premises of the PERKESO National Neuro-Robotics and Cybernics Rehabilitation Centre on Hala Meru Utama 2.
He said the noise from cars and modified motorcycles has made the neighbourhood particularly noisy on weekend nights, with the disturbance often continuing until around 2 am.
“We hope the relevant authorities or PERKESO’s management will take this issue seriously. Before the convenience store café became popular and before the PERKESO building was established, we never faced problems like this.
“Many visitors gather at the convenience store café within the PERKESO compound, especially on weekend nights, creating excessive noise. We feel sorry for the residents living next door in Taman Meru Suria.
“Our children are unable to sleep peacefully at night, and we hope the relevant authorities or PERKESO’s management will take appropriate action to address this issue.
“Many visitors also arrive in vehicles fitted with modified exhaust systems, while the loud braking noise from motorcycles only adds to the disturbance,” he said.
The convenience store café, located next to the PERKESO Rehabilitation Centre in Meru Raya, operates 24 hours a day and has gained popularity on social media for its aesthetic ambience, spacious setting and comfortable environment, making it a popular late-night hangout.
